ABOUT MARK DAVIS
I live in a beautiful village called Delph which is in Saddleworth near Oldham. I love painting people going about their everyday lives and capturing ‘the moment’. I use the mediums of watercolour, acrylic and pencil.
I started with Watercolours and I love the way watercolour reacts on the paper and try to capture colour and vibrancy where possible.
I try not to have ‘a style’ and like to experiment to continue to develop and as an artist.
I studied art at school and always meant to continue to pursue my passion but did not pick up a brush for a few years as ‘life’ got in the way. When I picked up the brushes again it quickly reminded me how much I enjoy it.
I have exhibited in various locations locally and sold much of my art there and elsewhere, including commissions.
I belong to a local group of artists called Saddleworth Group of Artists, who display at galleries locally and their work / contacts can be found in the link below, please check them out.
